One Body, Alive! - Bulletin Files

Holy Communion for Contemporary Christians - by Jay Beech

This liturgy was originally commissioned for the National Youth Gathering held in Atlanta, GA and was premiered at that event in 1994. Stylistically the music of this service is influenced by blues, jazz, and African American gospel music. It follows the standard order of service but the liturgical music includes some alternate texts adapted from the book of Ephesians. The themes of baptism and resurrection are strongly expressed.

This download-only product contains text plus melody score reductions in PDF and TIF format for almost of the songs from the One Body, Alive! liturgy. All files are formatted for a 5.5 inch wide sheet. With the exception of the Sanctus (Holy, Holy, Holy), none of the music from the Eucharistic Prayer is included, (such as the Preface Dialog and Accamations). Included are:
  • Kyrie and Proclamation of Grace
  • We Live for the Praise of Your Glory
  • Alleluia
  • Gospel Acclamation (Glory to You, O Christ)
  • A Fragrant Offering
  • Holy, Holy, Holy
  • One Body, Broken
  • The Children of Light
  • Dismissal (Go in Peace)
