The Race: A Simplicity Musical

Chorus

The vocal parts for the chorus are arranged for SATB voicing. It would be possible to do the musical with fewer parts – even unison – but some creative adjustments by the musical director would be required. The chorus parts could be sung entirely by cast members, (including those who do not have speaking parts), or also by a choir or small ensemble offstage.

Children’s Choir

There are two small parts for a group of children’s voices. The first is on the 2nd verse of Everything Was Simpler Then – Part 1 and the second is on the last song, Everything Was Simpler Then – Finale. A few children could also take part in the park scenes as extras.
